The commerce boundary

Togenar owns Configure + Present end-to-end: the embed, the customization UI, AR, snapshots, share links, live stock and price display. Your store stays the single source of truth for the cart, checkout, inventory, tax and payment — exactly like every other headless configurator.
Configurator ──(SKU · shareUrl)──▶ Your catalogue ──(variant ID)──▶ Your checkoutWhat crosses the boundary
Section titled “What crosses the boundary”From Togenar to you, on every change:
- SKUs — one per configured part, exactly as you defined them in the panel.
shareUrl— a permalink that rebuilds the exact configuration. Persist it on the order line: it serves order review, fulfillment and re-orders.
From you to Togenar, whenever you want:
- Prices for display —
setPrices(). Shown verbatim; never computed. - Stock —
setAvailability()dims sold-out variants.
Why the viewer never computes a price
Section titled “Why the viewer never computes a price”Tax, currency, customer-group discounts and promotions already live in your commerce platform. Duplicating that logic inside a viewer creates two sources of truth that drift. Togenar deliberately keeps pricing push-based: you send display values from the system that already knows them.
Where to go next
Section titled “Where to go next”- Add to cart — the three-step wiring plus worked Shopify and WooCommerce examples.
- Prices in the configurator — currency formatting, totals, clearing.
